Wow have i been having a mojo hit .... i finished two quote layout cards... they are 6in x 9in ... eventually when they are all finished i will be putting them together in a book. I am starting to get a nice pile up of them now.

I started them as part of a 52 week challenge but then slackened a little but have found new inspiration as 2012 has kicked in ... so needing to realign all my wasted creative energy of 2011 ... and i must say i am loving what i have been able to come up - love the quotes too...

On the home front ... we have done the shoe shop for school this year... what a bargain... 3 pairs of leather shoes for $200. Old Matey is so excited to be going to High School this year, although he has said he wants to be a little taller... cause he is over the 'short, cute guy' label. Miss Chicken has had her ups and downs lately but is super excited on hitting Grade 10 - does make one feel a tad old i do think...
here is old matey trying on his uniform and being a bit of a git at the same time .... he plays the 'cute short guy' thing well i must admit....

Oh yes ... another post for 2012 - i told you i am onto it this year...i am so pumped with lots of energy and enthusiasm ...i am even working through my work emails from last year now.... hehehe....

so here is a canvas i am working on ... not sure where it is going but that doesn't matter as yet.... i still need to add lots more to it.... just finding a little more inspiration to take it where it needs to be art-tastically....

and here is some happy snaps from our fun arvo down at wello point a couple of weeks ago.... we had a fantastic time walking and chillaxing....

Welcome 2012

Okay another year has started... HELLO 2012 ... i am into it in a big way.... so pumped to achieve so much this year... the focus is intense... i have already fiinished my January DT commitments for A2Z Scraplets... and have started on the next few months... i have so much motivation... this holiday has been just amazing for my mojo to find its way back to me... oh a lil' sneak peak of a layout i was working on ... shhhhh........

I have joined up to Summit 2012 - Creative Jump Start instigated by the lovely Nathalie Kalbach - i am having so much fun with kick starting my scrapping this year that my brain just does not turn off at the end of the very long day. Here was my first project i tackled ... it was inspired by the talented Carmen Sanchez.

I've been away with my beautiful family visiting my lil' sis and her family - we saw the New Year in with some beautiful fireworks in Toowoomba, and then spent that night and the next day scrapping our time away - did i say i had an amazing time... love making those type of memories.

My uber fantastic husband has just finished painting our lounge room ... again... he has a thing about painting the house.... saves me a packet of money when you can do it yourself... well i am not allowed to touch it ... so i have to retreat to my craft table... never mind i am thinking with a nice big smile on my face.

Both of my beautiful children are at high school this year... arghhhh - the time sure does go quick ... we are all set and only have shoes to go in preparation for their first big day of 2012... i hope i don't cry its very emotional the first day no matter what age they are.

This summer our lovely little Peppa dog has decided she likes to swim in our pool.... so without any warning you will hear a splash, so now we have to really keep her in designated areas as she is a little yappy and wears a bark collar and those things don't like the water much...

okay time to get back to crafting.... and chatting to some amazing friends online.... xx

Sunday ... another week starting

The weeks of this year are moving along at such a fast pace - lots to upload but might try and schedule it out over the week as my posts are few and far between.... and i know i just made that statement and it probably won't happen ... but i have all good intentions - truly i do.

I need to keep a log of how many creations i make a month - just for my own knowledge base - the days and weeks run into each other and before i know it i will be near the end of the year having another birthday and freaking out that i wish i had made gifts this year for everyone.... and it won't happen... but like i said ... good intentions. Here is one that i created for the A2Z Scraplets Design Team....

I did a bit of a photo shoot with Miss Chicken a few weeks back - thanks to Kim C who i work(ed) with who wanted to offload some of her old dancing costumes... so i snappled them up - i thought they would absolutely fantastic for photoshoots of girls... so my trusty model got into them and we started clicking ... i really do need to redo the photoshoot better with her though as we had just got home from school and she could not wait to try them on ....

Okes i think that that shall be all for today.... not to forget a quote....

Just doing some much needed housekeeping on the blog -- its a litle bit of a work in progress still as i am sorting out widths of the sliding pics etc....

My darling daughter was a muse to my camera the other day -- well she actually needed some pics for her assignment so off we trotted and took these - totally love them - and have a few more to play with ... it's so easy to take 100 pics in 15 minutes - just have to find the time to edit and play with them all -- that is the time consuming thing i guess...

Welcome 2011

Okay so i am a little late to get into the year... lots of things have been going on ... i am a working girl now -- even if it is only a few hours a week.... its still work... and its hard when you haven't done it for so long ... i have to be organised ...hahahahaha - that statement is so funny... but i guess i am organised to some degree.

The family are all well ... my beautiful and very patient husband was ill for a week and a half over xmas with Salmonella poisoning but is all well again ... he is very focussed this year and we have sat down and worked out our goals and what we want to achieve... both together and separately - gosh we are gonna have fun this year.

The little peeps are having a blast back at school. Miss Chicken is very focussed and is already working on her first assignment. Old matey has resumed some AFL training and has been playing lots of backyard cricket @ home with is dad and friends from school. I had them both crafting it up over the holidays too ... good little cherubs they are.

Our newest addition to the family arrived a week before Xmas... her name is Peppa... she is a very smart little girl already - she sits, comes, fetches, lets go of things when you say ta.... she loves her early morning & afternoon walks and loves a game of cricket with the two special men in my life. We are very blessed that she has become a part of our family.

I have been having lots of fun creating already this year - i have created a project for the Robina Kaisercraft store...its on display down there with a couple of layouts also.... and am working on another at the moment. Miss Chicken also created a couple of projects that are on display down there too - so proud of her ... she is becoming quite the artist.

A2Z scraplets have some fantastic things coming up for everyone each month - and i can't wait to be a part of it all.... my January release layouts are up over at i love how they turned out... can't wait to share February's work with you all.

I think i am going to start finding some of my fave quotes and post each time ... something to ponder and think about till next time i upload.... Thought this would be a good one ... a bit of a thinking quote as it is the start of the year - being resolution time its nice to find or think of our purpose for being....

Santa is a Coming...hahahahaha

Oh how time flies when you are caught in a vortex of surrealistic life experiences. Most good ones too ... or memorable I should be saying.

Work has finished for another year. Both the little peeps are a year older. Old matey will be in his final year at primary next year and busting to get to high school. Miss Chicken also can't wait to get back to school from the holidays but both are just loving the holidays - we get unlimited pyjama days, and Santa popped in early at our house this year. Santa felt that we needed an addition to the family.... so in rolled Peppa - a beautiful Shetland Sheepdog pup - she is 7 Weeks old and a bundle of energy. Yep it is easy to 'train' your children than a puppy.... but i can tell she is going to become a very much loved family addition.

I have been creating lots of new things to sell and need to get my finger out to update the tiddlypeepdesigns blog and also create an etsy account... then to photo all the new goodies and get them online....

so what else is going on ...

i was lucky enough to be asked to take some wedding pics for a lovely couple and are in the process of finishing off the processing of those.
coming up with some new ideas of things to create... brain space is becoming a little tanked out ... but still have to put all those ideas into practical, photographed evidence that they exist.
created a couple of christmas trees for the Kaisercraft store in Robina... totally loved how they turned out -- the pots are large so they can be used as lolly dishes... too cute indeedy.

so here is my run down... its 31/12/10 and i am 15 minutes off midnight - Queensland time ----i am blessed , i am lucky to have the life i have --- i hope that in 2011 i can make a difference - to what, i am unsure but a difference to someone or something i will be happy... i have had a great year -- there are things i would have liked to do more and things i probably overdid....but that is okay - i am breathing.

i wish for friends that are struggling - to find peace and for the earth spin in an axis that can help them ... to my family i do love you & i hope we all have another fantastic year...

see you all on the flipside --- and to be more consistent with my blogging ---oops.

p.s i am in a hurry to blog and on the laptop so pics will have to be in the next one....HAPPY NEW YEAR

brrrr its winter -- nah its almost spring....

Long time no blog from me... things have changed and I guess all the stuff that we try to shove into our day just keeps getting added to the never ending list of fun. Its a great life I have, just a busy one... but I think I truly like it that way.... its just the balance part I need to get a handle on - when i work that out I will be so much cheerier I do believe.

So in the month of May we had lots of peeps with birthdays- so a big happy birthday to you all - in our house my darling husband turned the big 40....so a very low key day was had by him.... he is not one for big hurrahs. Miss Chicken also added another year 13 - so a tween she is .... scary too as that means i am getting a tad older.... June rocked on and so did July - goodness knows what happened in those two months.... which leads up the garden path to August.... We are still super busy with goodness knows what, the kids are getting bigger, we are all adding days onto our years.

In the crafting front i have been creating some more layouts for A2Z - you can have a looksie at them below... and if you were looking for some inspiration then you could pop over here to the blog where Julie runs a great comp where you can win some of the fantastic chipboard products that she sells.

ScrapNCraft with T's Embellish comp has come to an end -- my Challenge 'mixed media it' i have posted below. Sue Smith was the lucky winner with some amazing entries.

What month are we again.....

Time goes so fast. Its hard to stop spinning some days. Between working, crafting and keeping the family organised and afloat i blink too much cause i miss a lot.... well its birthday month next month and it has snuck up on me yet again, but first i had to deal with the birthdays that the Easter Bunny brings so..... This month we have had birthdays galore... so a hip hip hooray to my godson Kenadi who is three today ... and a little old man he is ... too cute not to pinch his cheeks.... and a great big happy birthday to my god daughter Sarah whose birthday it is Sunday ... we hope you have a fantastic day. Also my sister Teresa turned another year older... she is hot on my heels... hope you had a great birthday.

I have been doing a little creating - i actually have been thinking that i have not created much at all... but alas... i have - i just haven't realised it. So here it is ....

Week 10 and Week 11 of my ScrapChat 52 week challenges... i am a bit behind ... but am catching up real quick with these babies....

A bit of light reading over at ScrapNCraft with T -- my weekly Monday post - The Thought Behind the Process

A little tempter of what will be for sale over at the Tiddlypeep Designs blog shortly... they are a tad unfinished but as of tomorrow they should be ready to roll.

Both Daniel and I had a great long weekend away in Melbourne at the beginning of this March. It was our first time visiting there. I must say it was fantastic how the weather turned it on for us - we got caught in the most memorable hail storm ever while waiting for a Tram. We got to spend the weekend with some fantastic people from Daniels work and had a blast..thank you everyone.... There were so many things to look at and so many ideas were formed in my head.... can't wait to put it all into something workable. While touristing ourselves around we went for a walk through a beautiful park and happened upon the MCG -- we ended up spending the day there doing the two tours.... i am not a sport person but really loved it ...the museum section was awesome although cameras were not allowed....grrrr.... here are a couple of happy snaps of Daniel.

The Easter break found us having a lovely week away at the beach - woohoo... here are a couple of photos... it was most relaxing and i wish you were there to see how relaxing it really was... i also found a scrap shop and purchased a few supplies so i could scrap while i was away .... i ended up creating 13 layouts, no pics... they will come in time...no pics for this part ...might add them on my next post.... tis getting a bit lengthy this post i must say - So that is my story so far for March/April ....

I have put my name down for a stall at the School 'Ladies Night' - hopefully i will have enough time in the next week and a half to create a few more items to sell... and i am also considering entering a DT comp that has tickled my palate....

mmmm.... easter bunnies

We have been to the shops this past weekend and picked up an easter egg mould for the peeps - let them get in touch with the make and give of food.... should be fun to see what they come up with as the recipes on the back of the mould have sugar eggs, marshmallow eggs and good old chocolate... yummy.

Creatively not much has come out of this old work horse - i finished a bag order for a friend... and still have one to go. I am working on the past 3 weeks worth of the ScrapChat 52 week challenge and hopefully i will have them complete this afternoon. Here are my week 8 & 9 entries.... week 10,11 and 12 are on the desk... paint was drying last night so that i can create on them today -- fingers crossed.

ScrapChat has been having a monthly March Cybercrop - i have done one week .... unfortunately i just did not get to the other two and the challenges were fantastic and outta my comfort zone as the were to use digi scrapping. This was my layout...

I have just uploaded my next piece on tans blog - it talks about cutting up your pics and i was inspired from the last two challenges at ScrapChat - so i dug up this layout that i used hybrid scrapping on.

We went shopping last week, found carpet for the bedrooms, bought a new keyboard and mouse for my computer, bought a dongle for the router so that i can be super selfish and refuse to let the peeps on 'my' computer... while out and about i popped into Heather-lea (scrappin4joy) and her hubbie.. long time no chat...was great to see you.

I don't seem to be moving forward with much of the wifely duties (house organisation) as i have had of hoped and as i worked the past week there has been nothing at all that showed a pot of gold on the other side of this rainbow.... the hired help idea is looking better and better each day ...hopefully something will jump out in front of me so that i can find a little bit more mojo and get this place crack-a-lackin' into tip top shape ...or maybe today i can just get some kind of wonderful finished that is already started on the craft desk....that sounded like a better option i do think....

We have entered into Mad March

March is such a beautiful month... it was the month my beautiful Grandmother was born .... bless her soul... it was the month my energetic nephew sketti was born and has the most michievous but gorgeous smile... its a month of fantastic opportunities and suprises awaiting us around each and every corner.

Life is a funny thing... it comes and goes... every now and then i reflect on stuff... you know ... what is going on ... the things i can't change & the bits i can do that may make a difference... truth is i have my own little melt down in march... my beautiful 'not so babies' have gone back to school... this year miss chicken is in year 8 and lovin' it... she has embraced her coming of age and well i am so happy and so sad at the same time for her... old matey too has blossomed .. he is truly my little old man trapped in a young persons body, complete with a few grey hairs... i love them so much.... and i am so lucky they were given to me so that i could be their mum. These guys make me happy ....

I have been busy creating and having fun with all my friends on the net. I have almost finished two more lots of flowers to add to the Blogshop. Tanyah and Sarah came for a visit and we all had fun at the Girl Guides Crop that Scrapmanda arranged down in Cleveland... what a fun night that was. We even got Gypsy aka Karen to scrap ... she made this gorgeous cover for a mini album... i must remind her to upload pics to her blog. Oh almost forgot - when i got home there was a suprise in the scrap room from the family... they went out and purchased a new fan.. can be a tad warm in there... my beautiful husband even installed it before we got home and the peeps made a spesh tag that i walked in to... love you loads guys.

I got to scrap saturday with Sylvia and Sue { from where i work, oh they are rooly good friends too} . Sue even put an album together too & Sylvias swap carton for the Scrapchat retreat is looking awesome. ... it was a fun day -i am still creating from that day - kind of playing catchup with projects i was working on here and there.

I have almost finished my March releases for A2Z Scraplets... Julie will probably be putting the new releases up over the next couple of weeks. And my column for ScrapNCraft with T went ahead again this week with me tweaking a layout from the week before.

Tanyah from ScrapNCraft with T is holding a retreat in September so if anyone is interested you can check it out over here Retreat @ Lennox Head - Lennox Head is such an awesome place to visit... I used to live down that way and i must say Lennox was one of my favourite places... gorgeous lookout for breathtaking photos.

Oh and i forgot to mention Tanyah from ScrapNCraft with T will be going to SIA and .... well doing a workshop for Bella - how exciting for her ... good luck Tan!

SOMETHING A BIT NEW -

Well it has been a while since i lasted blogged i must confess....but between then and now i have been uber busy creating and loving my family.

So basically in the past few weeks I lashed out, really took a big leap and jumped out of my comfort zone & registered .....

Its a Blogshop where i will be popping up extras of things that i create. The whole reason behind this is my love to create... and well.... the house is too full of my stuff... i am taking up two rooms now and leaching into the formal dining and lounge ... its amazing what you accumulate in over 20 years.

So my beautiful & very patient husband has said "go for it girl, i want this house back!"...so that is what i am up to... you can sneak on over to the Blogshop to have a read and a looksie at a few things that i have on offer for sale... I will upload more things as time goes on ... but it was big job to get it to what it is at the moment... i had to teach myself html coding with the help of Karen and Kylie and our good friend Google. I will be making a few more visual changes as i get the chance.

On other news... well i have caught up with my 52 week challenge - i have two more to show ... but not right now... i haven't taken a picture... maybe i can blog about that later in the month.

A few new layouts are up on A2Z Scraplets showcasing the new products for February - if you get a chance pop on over for a bit of inspiration... oh and i realise that the your is not gramatically correct it should be "you're" but its cool... i am going to add an apostrophe e on it ... maybe - lol

i have been going great guns with the ScrapChat 52 week challenge, here are my next few entries.... we are up to week 5 now... lots of inspiration is a flowing.

I have a little project i am working on at the moment ... but will share a bit later when i get it all sorted... could take me a little while... but am a tad excited about it after getting dh's blessing to have a go. I will post soon with a link and the guff on what its all about.

Here are some more things i have been creating for sale.... dainty climbing roses with glass bead centers.... i wish i could keep them though - they are so beautiful. They cost 2 for $6.00 - i will pop them in the for sale section in the next couple of days.

The peeps are back at school now. Miss chicken loves high school and old matey is not to sure about grade 6(there is something going on but he is reluctant to share, and it makes me worry with his personality if he has a problem and won't share... i guess i will have to just work on him a little more till he spills the beans on why he is unhappy). So back to school and a little routine for the littlies.... tennis starts again on monday & miss chicken is yet to pick an extra curricular activity to partake in.

I did a tad bit of dress sewing for miss chicken prior to going back to school... she chose some cute as ladybug fabric... and then the photo of old matey... well.... he was in big trouble and was banished to his bedroom... well he fell asleep not before he wrote a note to let us know how he rolls....

okes that is me for an update. I hope you have been having fun the past few weeks... lets see if i can blog at least once a week from now on ... was getting a tad dismall really not blogging.

been, saw, conquered

So far the fat guy has been and he was good to everyone with gifts and love galore. Miss Chicken and I saw in the New Year together, while the males in our family were in bed by 9.30pm...not sure whats with that but the girls were off to a great start. So the New Year has been fabulous so far and can't wait to see what else is in store for the rest... I am taking January as my teaser month... feeling the waters and using it to set up the rest of my year.

We have had a day trip to the Tambourine Mountains, with a picnic & I got to do a spot of shopping - there was a lovely little vintage shop there and i picked up this gogeous bling accessory...

We have watched copious amounts of new release movies at the cinema, on dvd and we even went to the Drive- In -- that was awesome!

I was sent my new instalment of A2Z Scraplets - they look fantastic and have already started creating with them. I have started a new Monday column over at Scrap N Craft with T called The Thought Behind the Process and at ScrapChat i took on the new 52 week challenge that karen is posting and so far am in love with the themes that are coming up.

I organised the peeps for a bit of a fun photoshoot - they were not overly co-operative as they were 'embarassed' - oh purlease.... my two embarassed.... maybe it was because we were on a main road and they were scared people they know may have driven past... anyway - i got a few photos so i was happy with the day.

I want to get into more sewing and mixed media this year... so far thats been a bit more slower to take off but it shall kick in shortly. I have copious amounts of fabrics and supplies that i truly need to use up so that my new 'smaller' craft room can cope with everything in there.. i am still taking up a third of the old craft room and my sewing machine is living in the dining room as i am trying to create -- i need more space ...lol. Here are a few more of the bags that i have been making to sell... i need to make some more as they sell fairly fast and are great gifts as well.

So i have a lot that i want to achieve this year and hopefully it will all be a hoot along the way.

the man in the red suit is almost here.....

oh i am getting a tad excited .... only a few more sleeps and then we can unleash mayhem and destruction throughout the house... all that wrapping paper flying around as the peeps rip open their gifts... and i have my camera lens back from its restful holiday in melbourne... all ready to go to work on Friday morn...can't wait.

After the flurry of October and November ... we got to December.... and miss chicken's celebrations for the end of Year 7 got into full swing. At this point i am feeling sad and bloody old... how did she get to there so quick... definately another blink moment.

We had the Presentation Awards night - was a great night to see all of her peers get recognized for all their hard work. My niece even won an award... that was a tad exciting. The following week was the Year 7 dinner dance. In true "Tracey style" - i thought i would be cool to get her dress done in the time frame i had left myself... well...... the day before the formal it was almost finsihed - but deep in my thoughts was - she is not going to like it - its going to be too gathered & puffy and sure as sure can be ... it was... so on the morning of the dinner dance... i pulled it all apart and started from scratch... but by 4.45pm that afternoon i had one very happy and beaming tween....

So school holidays are well and truly under way... i have had Sarah and her boys come visit for a weekend ... we got to scrap a little and chat... was a nice laid back weekend. Yesterday we had a few of the School friends over to catch up and have a craft day.. was nice to catch up with them all before the guy in the suit pops in.

where have you been girl?

oh hello.....

it has been too long and finally my weary butt finds the chair or should i say my fingers have finally signed in to blogger so i can blog...talk about lazy... that i am.

it has been a bit busy round here ... but is now slowing down a little.... thank goodness for holidays and for the big fat fella in the red suit to slow it all down a tad.

The year has found me working as a TA and creating for a couple of great companies. I have had a blast - but have been blinking so much cause the year has just flown by.

The peeps are another year older and miss chicken will find herself at high school next year. She is very excited about it all and if i do say so myself looks very smart in her new high school uniform. Old matey just had his double digit birthday with 21 children coming for a rock star party - they had a blast - and i am glad i can rest now....

We attended the annual music presentation night at the school a few weeks back. Miss chicken performed in the dance group and did well. Old matey cleaned up and had a big night. He came home with so many certificates, medals and a trophy ... he was such a busy boy on the night... he played guitar in one performance, acted/drama skit, played drums in another performance, played his double base in the strings section.... a big, big night. We are so proud of them both as they really enjoyed themselves and gave it their all.

I travelled away to the Scrapchat girls getaway - "ohana" - what a fun weekend. My lil sis joined in this time... and even wants to come back next time... I ended up creating around 24 layouts, the covers for the inaugural scrapchat mini album, lots of altered cards and a layout for the mini album....plus did a lot of sewing for the girls... now girls you do not have to be scared of the sewing machine next time....lol.

I was a judge for the Scrap N Chat Embellish comp... i even had a challenge ready to roll ... was a bit of fun if i do say so .. and the entries were awesome, extremely hard to judge cause the entries were so good! Here is my example for the comp.

The peeps had their swimming carnival - what a wet fun day that was....

We had a christening to attend and all the 'oldies' (thats my aunts and uncles) had their pictures taken... mighty bunch you all are.

on my next post i will upload some pics of miss chicken and chat about her Year 7 formal, what i have been up to till now ... that should just about catch me up then .... enjoy your weeekend.

i'm still havin' fun

wow what a busy time at our place still... the pace never stops - but its sooooo good.

i have been working for real money so my dh says... thats always a good thing...i like to contribute.

the peeps are having fun at their tennis lessons. Old mate has a new guitar teacher and is enjoying the new songs that he is learning.

i have been doing a little more creating - I was asked to do an online webcam class for Karen over at Scrapchat for the month of October... being for Women's Cancers. ... well the class is all organised and ready to roll - so all money raised from the proceeds of this class will go to Womens' Cancer... love the month of pink!

The class costs $15 and is a live webcam classroom where i will be showing how to make the Inspiration cards below... and the best bit is you get to make them with me at your end... if you would like to join in contact Karen on gypsyangel@scrapchat.net.au to pay your money and you will be forwarded a PDF of what you will need for the night and the quotes that will be used so that you can print them out ready.

At the end of the class a PDF of instructions will be sent to you on the class. Sounds too easy hey - but heaps of fun. ... all in the name of us women ... and the courage we have to be ourselves........here is a peek of the cards that we will be creating this friday night.

Its been a little busy here - but as we would not have it any other way -- fantastic!

I have been playing catch up with my scrapping duties - i completed a few layouts for the new October Scraplets over at A2Z... http://www.a2zscraplets.typepad.com/ very noice indeedy.

I have also just completed my project for the Embellish it comp over at Scrap N Craft with T... you can't have a peek yet at what is in store for my part of the comp, but you can catch out all the details of the comp over at Tans blog - http://tanyahpayne.blogspot.com/ - you can also check out all the great entries that have been uploaded for the first week over in tanyahs gallery...-

I got to do my free flowers class for ScrapChat and have had some great feedback - glad to hear the girls all liked the flowers and have even used the ideas in there own works already - they have created some great looking blooms for their artworks. Karen over at ScrapChat has organised another class with myself with all the proceeds going towards the GNI cancer fund - i will be teaching a class on 4 inspiration cards - titled "the courage to be me" - you can find out more by contacting Karen aka gypsyangel over at ScrapChat - http://scrapchat.net/ - the class is scheduled for the end of October.

mmm what else....last weekend i had a housefull of friends stay and we all went to a GNI at Cleveland it was arranged through ScrapChat and we all had a ball.A big call out goes to Karen our hostest with the mostest and Amanda for coming through with a great location to hold a fantastic night for charity and a worthwhile cause. After the night was over Karen, Tanyah and Sarah all bunked over @ my place and then we scrapped a little more ... till it was time to go home... thanks girls i had a blast.

i have picked up more work at school, the peeps are growing and enjoying their new sport - which is a little easier on their parents with travel and their parents' wallets are looking healthier also .... thank goodness as the amount of bills rolling in does not seem to be slowing down... bet that sounds like your home hey?

Craft wise i have a heap of ideas stored in the space between my ears - just got to get them out there and into the big wide world... but you can't rush these things... they need to ferment like a good wine... till next time stay safe and enjoy some of my creations of the past week.

getting ready...

Oh yes we have been getting things ready in this household -

sorry to interuppt my train of thought... but its raining... the glorious sound of rain... loving that!

GETTING READY #1   - now back to getting things ready... on the home front we have taken carpet out of our bedroomand the study and delivered down to our trusty old unit ... it will be installed on monday down there.. i have been left with concrete painted floors for the time being... very user friendly to clean i might add....but a bit harsh on the feet over time.... we have looked at replacements and have found suitable carpet for our room, the childrens rooms and the study... and i am quite happy with our choice... this will have to go on the back burner as we have had some other things crop up.

GETTING READY #2   - i have finally photographed a few sample photos of the flowers i will be teaching how to make in an online classroom situation over at ScrapChat... pretty happy with it all and i need to thank Gypsy for the opportunity to have a crack at this. If everyone is happy with this site and the classroom environment then we will be holding a Inspiration card class to help raise money for Breast Cancer - this will be closer to the end of the month... should be fantastic either way.

GETTING READY #3   - the little peeps go back to school tomorrow.... and we are so not ready... it feels more like xmas holidays here at our home... my beautiful husband has been slaving away and is really in need of a holiday... but the peeps are on their way back to the grindstone and have not had the chance to spend much time with their pappa...mumma is worn out though.

GETTING READY #4 - looking forward i am ready to really get myself motivated to loose some serious weight and get myself trim taut and terrific. I had my birthday in September and decided that i would be Fabulous at 40 - and i have given myself a year to get there... i know i can do it... so i have slowly been starting the whole diet and exercise thing but tomorrow i am on my way fully - watch our Rexona!

GETTING READY #5 - concious of my above #4 statement i am about to embark on a huge leap and start getting myself into bed before midnight every night. Someone said to me once that this could be part of the reason for me not losing weight... tiredness and lack of sleep. I don't feel tired, but apparently you need sleep to make your body work properly...{ thanks darling husband} ....so i thought i might try this out for a couple of months and see if it works for me... i have always been a late nighter.. so it will be an interesting concept.

GETTING READY #6 - all going good i will start tidying up some sewing tomorrow... i have some bags cut out that i need to finish and then i can start on a few more patterns that i have purchased. I also have to sort out that coding on the blog so i can start selling things via paypal in the for sale section.

On other news - we have pulled all the carpet out of the study and my bedroom - i am stuffed- and now we need to decide what we are gonna put in there - tiles, floating timber floor or carpet... time will tell.

The peeps have not stopped all school holidays - we have not gone anywhere in particular but have not stopped... hopefully they have had fun... i am sure they have had fun.

its almost time

It has been a hectic week here already - on the weekend my darling husband attacked our front hedge and all i have now is a lot of bare sticks... photo to come... as i have not uploaded them yet.

The peeps have been having a ball with lots of playing - but if you ask them they are 'bored' and 'did nothing' - how exciting for them... but if i hear those words again for the remainder of their holidays i will lock the little blighters in the shed.... cause their holidays have been far from 'boring' - who invented that word anyway?

Today i had the beautiful Karen and Jess come for a play date with the peeps and myself... had fun - ate too many cupcakes and made an absolute mess of the kitchen - the peeps swam and played most of the day away and Gypsy and myself got to scrap two altered cards together...a fun day and thank you for your company gyps!

Almost forgot -- its my little sista's birthday today -- well technically yesterday cause its now 12.04am on my clock... happy birthday to you! --- and can't wait to see your tattoo when we catch up again soon..

Another beautiful day

Hi all

its another beautiful day here and i am up early again. I have a big day planned out today and according to my stars its all hands on deck and the jobs will be done - sounds good hey... can't wait to see the results.

I have been plugging away at my scrapbooking this week. I have created some paper flowers that will be taught in an online classroom as a trial for a venture that Gypsy over at Scrap Chat has organised... will have to update you more on that when i have some finer details. Gypsyangel is also organising a lot of Girls Night In adventures for this month so don't forget to check out whats going on by visiting ScrapChat. There will be a Cyber Crop as well as an online class with myself to teach the One Little Word cards i have been creating - the theme for the class is ' The Courage to be Me'...it will be a group of 4 cards you will be creating... dates and info will be available on Scrap Chat shortly.

Yesterday i scrapped with a few friends and ended up making two christmas cards and two layouts... liking the way the layouts turned out - and i have not added photos yet - but eventually will. I like scrapping this way - i tend to get it all together without too much fuss.

I have sent off more layouts for A2Z - you can check them out over at their blog - Julie is also running a few sketch challenges and has some great instructions for a few projects as well. You can also check out the layouts in my Design Team Creations tab under the header of the blog.

My Autumn Leaves Design kit has all been made...you can see it in the Design Team Kits under Scrap N Craft with T in my tabs under the header - or you can pop over to Tans blog or shop to check it out... i love the way the album turned out, very miss chicken.

The start of a new look...

Well do you like it? How cool....my dear friend Karen aka gypsyangel, helped me today - she is the bestest- i had no clue on where to start or even understand html coding so she talked me through it. We cruised a few sites for the hiccups on creating tabs and other bits and pieces that i wanted and WELLA! Here you have it - my new layout for my blog.

I hope that i get to eventually put up some of the items i create in the For Sale pages and then none of my hard work today will have gone in vain.

Now to celebrate the new layout i would love for you to leave me a comment to let me know if you like the new style ... I will choose a winner from the comments ( i will have to test out those random integer things) - So whats on offer i hear you ask? - a pack of my Transparency frames that i have for sale.

My fave part so far is the freshness of all the colors and i am so in love with the tabs at the top - i still have a lot of uploading to do in each tab - but i have made a start so that is good.

a blog post

okay this could be a blog post or a long winded essay - so in a nutshell -- things are busy - but i have no concept of why - maybe it is the stage in my life and you blink and then its gone... there is no reason to it... and trying to work it out is painstakingly physcotic.

This past weekend i travelled down to the northern rivers to work at the Scrap N Craft with T stall that was at the Alstonville craft show... what a great time.. we were so busy... and the other stalls had some fantastic things on display. While down there i popped in to visit Sarah and her little babe and ended up staying the night(too much alcohol could have been a factor to that) - tan gave me my early morn call to get myself going and then i headed out to the show on saturday. i got to meet lots of fantastic peeps - Chelles mum( sorry forgot your name - doh is me) She is the lovely owner from The Stamp Shak - and she was very gracious and posed for a pic . Also tans mum and niece stayed all day to help out at the stand - what a work horse her mum is - fantastic inspiration.

By saturday afternoon my feet were killing me - and i ventured apon a fave shop and person who i had done a quilting class with when the children were little, Jane McDonald from bebeBold - she has some amazing fabrics as well as some fabulous patterns. I ended up buying a few patterns and some fabrics and then headed home.

Saturday night i popped in to visit fam who are down from toowoomba way and then headed home to a nice chilled bottle of white and some chat with my family... exhaustion had set in.... sunday morn all at home and the day was a wipeout for me - although i did cut out a bag pattern and make it up - looks fabbo - love it - i want to make a few more but i will just have to order a little bit more fabric for the lining from jane online...

so that was this weekend - prior to that -
*old matey went on his camp - had a blast.
*i received some more fantastic scraplets from julie at A2z which i will work on over the next couple of days - have a layout on my desk ready to be stuck down.
*finished off two Design Team kits for Tanyah - love the look of these two kits - still have to do the OTP kit to compliment this range of Autumn Leaves papers... so lush.
*had a photoshoot for a friend with her newborn - love the pics.. and so does the friend
*finished one pelmet for the dining room - still have one to go .

oh almost forgot - my darling husband and i went away for our 15 year wedding anniversary - we stayed at elements at coolum - very nice indeedy - plus i tried thai food for the first time - but the meal was more like a chinese meal with crunchy noodles.

here i am

yep i am here... all be it late... and coherrent... but here. Life has been a rush and there have been so many things going on. Its hard to find which way is up from the spinning round. Everyone is healthy and working towards happy.

I have been working and trying to find a balance which has eluded me still. This weekend i hope to move the balance my way and get myself into the craft room for a little creating. {fingers crossed}.

I have been working on some transparencies which have been selling at the ScrapChat TNT days that were held. I am gonna work on a new kit for Scrap N Craft with T this weekend that will be available for September. I also have some fantastic products from A2Z Scraplets that i have been working on.... i just have to photograph... hopefully that will happen this weekend also.

I thought that Miss Chicken and myself will start our Xmas cards this weekend too. We need some mother daughter fun - and i know how much she loves to get into the craft of late... her drawings are awesome!

On the news front both my peeps have retired from Competitive gymnastics... it was their time - they have had enough ... so they are doing one day a week in the fun gym section at the club - yes a bit tearful but its for the best.. we can see a change in their behaviours already - they are happier.

i am trying to play catch up with the OLW cards i had started over at ScrapChat -- and so far i have counted that i am 15 behind - not good at all -- i did two last weekend and hope to get a few more done time permitting this weekend. Here are the two i did ... till next time take care.

okes- i've decided that i am not going to try and ignore where my time goes... i think it would be a no-win situation on my behalf to even go there with that notion...

today i posted off my ATC's for the StampShak swap i am -- here is a looksie at what the girls will be recieveing -- and from the peeks i have gotten - i will be recieving some bloody awesome ATC's back-and so can't wait

this is a pic so you can see the dimension -- love these butterflies for that reason.

I have been busily sewing and bakingn for the ScrapChat Trash and Treasure one day auction -- i made a few butterflies - which i love - and need a new home. I also baked...... yes thats right - while i was baking i decided i would make some fimo buttons. If i get a chance i want to make soem paper clay buttons as well -- these ones can be painted to the color that you want. OH and i almost forgot - i have been throwing together a few transparencies to go in a pack deal - so i hope that the buyers like what i have created.

so thats for me -- its been a busy week -and i guess the weekend will be even more exciting - we have the ANZAC parade on Saturday - so so important for us and our children to know about, and we have a 3 extra peeps staying on friday night - and i have a few dt projects to get ontop of .. so have a fab friday everyone

i stay up way too late - i don't think i have gone to bed early since the school holidays have started... i think thats because i know i can sleep in most days. I am also led to believe that sleeping is overated and that i was conditioned early as a child to stay awake at night - hence that is what i do.

Julie over at A2Z Scraplets has put up some more of my layouts - one for the new line of scraplet "you rock" and the other is a tree.. love that latter layout - its so serene - and my miss chicken looks so at peace and one with the earth.

i have not tackled my OLW card this week as yet - might give that a nudge tomorrow. I have been busy creating Transparencies to sell @ Scrapchats Trash/Treasure Auction at the end of next week. I am hoping they are well received. I wanted to sew up some butterflies but time is slipping away yet again.

Today i was going to be doing a mini album for Scrap'n'Craft with T - but alas - i was in front of the puter designing a little project for Tan instead - so i am hoping that tomorrow i will get that mini finally done and then i can start planning my May projects for her site.

i'm back - and its Easter Sunday

its now 12.08am -- Happy Easter everyone... how glorious it is.

i was so busy this year that i forgot to grab a little something for the peeps - then in my haste late Thursday night i had a change of heart and decided i best do something, especially as i do tell them if they dont' believe then the old hopper ain't coming... old matey was great about it and said yep its real mum... while miss chicken is getting too big for her boots and won't play along....

I took a few photos today and scrapped one of the OLW cards - its for the word silly.

And here is the card wallet i made - had fun with that.. thinking of doing a couple more too -- thanks to the super fun pattern by Amy Butler --- although i did change the instructions.. they were a bit long winded for me- but i guess they are there for a reason ... for those who have not sewn before... so they are great instructions to follow.

it's the holidays...

okay so ... 10 days off ... they are gonna go so quick. Today i awoke to the feeling of -- "you go do that girl!" - so i did -- in between loads of washing, chatting with the peeps & dh, eating quickly, playing the wii, it raining and having to take everything off the clothes line umpteen times... i scrapped - yes you heard it right - i scrapped -- and not just any project - i scrapped myself silly so that i could enter the kaisercraft dt comp. At 11.55pm tonight it was all sent... gosh what relief - i love working under pressure - bet you want to see my single layout and my double layout and my mini album -- well---- i can't show ya - you are going to have to wait and see...lol..

We were good folk here today - the peeps and dh had fish and chips and i scrambled eggs for Good Friday dinner... nice an light - and hopefully okay for my diet... dont' think i said i was on a diet... well i am - i want to loose a little bit - so i can go on a clothes shopping spree- I am sure it will make me feel even more fabulous.

Whats been happening - well - the last week and a half i have been teacher aiding in the preps room -- i got to play with paint and glue and scissors - gotta love easter craft... and now that contract has ended -- so i am on target to start sewing and play catch up with a few scrap tasks that i have set myself.

First on the agenda is the two OLW cards for this weekend and one for last week - it was put up late - hence i have not done that one as i was too shattered with work.

Second on the agenda is to create a mini album for Scrap 'n' Craft with T -- poor Tanya is just waiting - i can feel it - for my mini album i have been telling her about - so that is on the agenda this weekend. Then i am going to start my kits for her for the month of May -- so you will have to keep your eyes wide open for those.

Third on the agenda is to create a couple more layouts/cards for A2Z Scraplets - got the stuff -- and am ready to play ... so julie they won't be too much longer.

Fourth on the agenda - i spent a small fortune on fabric yesterday - i want to make a few bags. I saw the most devine fabrics on Thursday night and had to have them - and i got them - i am so spoilt - now i just have to make myself some bags. During the week i made a business card holder out of fabric which is way cool - i am thinking of making a few and selling them --- the amount of cards that i have from all the different stores that i frequent does my head in when i have to find them - so that is what has driven me to make the holder... no pics sorry -- but i will take one shortly.

Fifth on the agenda - Gypsyangel over at scrapchat is having an online auction at the end of the month - sounds so exciting and no doubt it will be - well i really want to create a few things for that --- not sure what just yet --- but i have a few ideas - maybe some butterflies and some of my transparencies - if i am really quick i could make some bags - but that might be a pie in the sky dream.

That might be enough on the agenda - i still have to fit in about 6 loads of washing, the ironing, playing with the peeps, feeding the peeps and cleaning the house - that last task has gone out the window the past week cause i have had to work... surely a man invented that idea... work pfffffft!!

We had my lil sis and her fam down the past weekend -- gosh the kids are so cute... i was lucky enough to babysit lumpy --- my godson... he is so adorable and reminds me so much of old matey. The sketti was his usual bubbly self who also celebrated his birthday... now for meatball the smallest of the crew - well he gave his aunty T the cutest of smiles -- and he is a cutey to boot --- not a peep - just all smiles -- i am so lucky to have cutie patooties for nephews.

Other than that - all scrap photos are secret for now... but hopefully by tomorrow i might have a few.

some days i am such a magician - i truly amaze myself, i am trying to work out how i fit all the things i do into my day and then sometimes i think that i have been a total lazy bum... oh well... theres the balance i have been searching for - i can 'think' i am a lazy bum...

Okay so i checked the date on my watch tonight -- the 20th march... i am a few days behind - a bit of a time warp - oh well we best move on then. I have been busy again - go figure... so here is a bit of an update so far:

A few of the layouts i created over at A2Z Scraplets to showcase their Rockstar, Cupcake & mum scraplets as well as the Butterfly Dreams pack of scraplets.

I got to create a couple more OLW cards too over the past couple weeks - Love the words that Gypsy and the girls are coming up with over at Scrapchat.

I was also asked by the fabulous Gypsyangel if i would liek to create one of the Challenges for her CC for the month of March - you can guess my answer -- oh yeahhhh baby! - so here were my projects - the spec was to use one sheet of pattern paper on at least 3 projects - more if you could- you had to use paint, stitching, fabric and stamping...

what else have i been up to ... well... i joined another swap over at the stamp shak, i advised on one of my fave techniques over at Scrap n Craft with T, and i am trying to finish off my CC entries over at the March on The Stamp Shak....

In the perfect world the housecleaner aka tracey came to visit today. She got stuck into a lot of the chores that needed to be done - such as - the ironing which took her copious hours to do ( and she is still not finished), she answered emails, washed up, emptied the dishwasher, emptied the grabage bins, did 4 loads of washing, folded laundry , dusted the laundry, made lunches for the peeps, had a meeting with p&c staff, counted money, took orders for stock, did the grocery shopping, mowed the lawn, picked up the peeps from gymnastics, put away the groceries, cleaned up after dinner (which her darling husband cooked... yum), is resizing photos for the gym club, participated in a few family discussions (its hard to get the non hired help to see reason).

Tracey is now trying to unwind after a few family discussions - hopefully the housecleaner will get a day off tomorrow to do all those things that she wished she could do everyday ... but is only really wanting one day - tuesday - lets hope she gets her wish.

just a quick drop in - been so busy and there is gonna be more of that i am guessing. I am the secretary of the peeps school again this year -- kinda saw that coming - its been great and it has some really focussed team members on board who are doing a super job...

Also on the weekend i picked up another position - oh yeah --grants officer at the gymnastics club again -- but thats the good one --- dh got the president... busy, busy in our house that is for sure.

A2Z SCRAPLETS - I created 5 layouts this weekend - 4 of them for A2Z - so they will be up when the time is right -- i was power scrapping in advance... if you haven't had the chance to do the sketch over at A2Z why not give it a go - i liked this one and think i will do the sketch again...dont' forget to email them your layout so that you can be in the running for a prize of some scraplets

SCRAPCHAT - Scrapchat are running their month long Cyber Crop - i had fun with figs first challenge for this weekend... Gypsyangel has some great people organised to give you some fantastic challenges... oh yeah i am one of those - doesn't hurt to self promote every once in a while.... and there is an online class with Leanne Stamatellos too....pop on over to check it out. And i created my card for this week - the OLW was Blue...

Scrap N Craft with T - Tanyah has created some awesome challenges over on her site this month - the sketches look great - i haven't given them a go yet - got a bit on ... but want to give them a nudge this week - but will have to see how i go for time. She also has a beautiful kit created by Chelle up on her blog at the moment -- go check it all out... and yep you can win a prize for entering her sketch challenge.

SBM - I joined another swap group created by the lovely Bec over at scrapbooking memories it was for a journal card swap - these are what i have created. Can't wait to get my lot back - sure they will be awesome.

Peeps - well they have been a lot better since we cut back their morning training - so the moon has slightly slowed down on going backwards... yesterday it was a godsend that i got my babies back the way they should be. I also booked in Miss Chicken for High School ... gosh i am getting old thats all i can think of.... plus an anxiousness... i think i am having a panic attack about it all when i think about it ... hoping that she will be okay... i added a couple of pics of our visit up the mountain ... we went to the botanical gardens at Mt Cootha a week or so ago -- did not get many great shots at all - the peeps did not want to play ....

Today- today is going to be so busy - but fantastic - i have a heap of mailing to do for the P&C and for DH to get his blue card organised. I have to pull my camera out and dust off the cobwebs to photograph my layouts for Julie and then email them off... do you like the way i am creating my list for me as i go along ... this blog thing is good for somehting. Oh and i best type up the minutes of the P&C meeting for next week.... i have ironing and washing... changing of sheets in the bedrooms... i have to organise the peeps new gymnastics leotards today too... oh and i if it is not raining i will have to mow the lawn as well....hopefully i can tick off two at least off this list which is as long as my arm...lol

okay another mad week - i have thought that with the events of the past two weeks that something in the universe is making the moon spin backwards - it only affects children though... hoping someone will put it back to normal soon... one can only hope...

I have been busy creating - i have done a few more One Little Word cards for the Challenge over at Scrapchat - the word for the week was TODAY

And i had a great scrappy weekend at the Cybercrop over at the StampShak - i had fun with the challenges that Lexie set for us -

and these two were done for A2Z scraplets... and i have three more but they have some great new release product on them so i can't share just yet...

...another busy day -- they are flitting by this year. I have been quite busy ferrying the peeps from here to there.. sport takes up so much time...then there is the music and well... no time left really. I have been to visit Tanyah up at the hospital, taken some pics for family of little M. I have been having fun creating again -- i have whipped up a couple of layouts for A2Z and i am working on a couple more at the moment.

today was a great day for a little scrapping - i have been working on a couple things for A2Z scraplets and i added in a little housework .. so pretty happy with my day.

Yesterday i ventured out to the big wide world and visited Tanyah in the hospital - she is doing great - and scraps up a storm even with limited supplies. My kits are up at Scrap N Craft with T... there are three of them all using the Cosmo Cricket Chemistry range of papers...

Still doing my challenge cards for Scrap Chat - last weeks word was forever - had fun with this one and i am really loving how these have been turning out....

I have also created 5 of these ATC's for a swap over at the Stamp Shak -

Tomorrow, i am unsure of what it will bring - hopefully a bit more crafting - got to tie up a few loose ends and the products strewn all over the house.

My thoughts go to all families who have suffered so much pain & hardship over the past few weeks.. the floods & fires... it is a terrible, terrible thing to happen and i wish you well in your recovery from those disasters... peace be with you all.

To a few of my friends who are travelling rough - i hope that your path that you are on brightens and shines for you soon ... Life has a funny way of showing us how strong we really are... but in the end you need to know that none of you are alone - you have family and you have your friends who are there to listen - take care ....

...yeah its only the begining of february -- and it feels like august.. but this is a good thing -- think of all the scrapping to still be done... i need to take more photos and create more projects...lovin' life.

Great things are a happening

So a bit of an update as i have not done so for a couple of weeks... it seems life is already fast tracking itself for 2009.... best get this baby to slow down so i can really enjoy the ride

The big news here .... hang on - best do the - oh no --- thats horrible stuff first.... the hard drive that runs my puter has died... not good... so to help ease my panic attacks and nervous breakdown my DH has taken control of the old PC out of old mateys bedroom and hooked it up for me to do what i do ... yes i am back on the big box, 15 inch monitor with a very slow version of Photoshop Elements 2.... yep CS3 and i will be friends again, and i will so appreciate what i had even more when it is fixed.... so that is my devastating news....

Now for the good stuff.... Well i applied for the A2Z Scraplets Design Team ... and guess what - i made it - so chuffed... there is so much you can do with chipboard and the like these days ... so it should be a fun team to work with... . Here are a few layouts that you can see over at their blog... as well as my Beach album that i created and was in the Scrapbooking Memories mag a few issues ago...

Plus i entered the SM cybercrop for January and won the card challenge .. these were my layouts and card... i dont' usually make cards but i guess you will be able to tell that from what i have made...lol

I am sure there is more news - just can't think of it... oh yeah, the peeps are back at school tomorrow and will be absolutely shattered as they had gym training tongiht.... i think i can here them snoring out here in the study...oh and i start my new job of CEO of the house tomorrow - i had a blinder of a year last year so i have promised myself and my family that the house and them will be my number one priority this year... i will learn to say no.... that is gonna be a hard one....but i will learn... we never stop learning do we!

Oh almost forgot - had a loverly weekend with my lil sis and family -- the babies are growing up way to fast and are soooo cute... hope you like the pics i took on your camera sis - check your camera... there were some beautiful ones of meatball...

I had a fabulous relaxing week - the creative mess which has found its way out to the dining table has been very good to me. I created my OLW card number 2 yesterday and uploaded it to the ScrapChat site just in the nick of time - ohhhh, and I love it - i have another quote for the same topic and might try and give that a go later today, time permitting.

All cj's are done and dusted, its great to have those on their way, i think it was a case of no mojo to complete - but then it when snap in my head and i powered on with my entries. I have a few things i am working on today that i need to get completed and sent away - some exciting news on the horizon again for mwah... and i can't wait.... i am busting at the seams with anticipation to blurb it all out.

Wow what a week - We have just had sketti go home for his week long visit down at Aunty Tracey's place - i do hope he had fun and i'm not too much of a stickler. The peeps loved having him here - and miss chicken loved someone else to go swimming with - he is a fish.

Another thing - my DH took me shopping and the three children - on boxing day no less - what was he thinking, as he doesn't like shopping - to buy me a new mobile.... well we looked around and went back a few days ago and i now have a new Nokia E71 - it is divine - all shiny and new - best upload the old for the new pic - and you will be able to see how much he really spoils me.

yep the upgrade from the old fossil - to the tech savvy - loving it - even more when i work out all the features to this little baby - and it has heaps compared to the last phone.

I took some picks of some scrapping - this is Sarah's Cj all ready to go & this is mine ready to go on its way too - still working on Beck's - as i never realised how much work 3 little peeps are.

I have started a challenge over at Scrapchat - Gypsy is running the One Little Word one and i have decided to scrap large playing cards - each one i want to add a quote or poem - a little inspiration - this weeks word is Angel - i got to use the small gold wings that i embroidered the other day - and they look fab - they have just enough curl in them to stand out and be really 3D.

OHHHHHH the suprise..... well on the weekend my beautiful cousin J invited us to a party for her partner - he turned the big 40 - and i had an inkling that it wasn't just that ... cause she said - don't be late - welllllll.... they got hitched... it was beautiful and the bridal party were divine... they had their 4 children as their attendants - it was a totally fabulous occasion and i got to catch up with family i have not seen in ages. Congrats J & R.

We all had a fabulous xmas - we spent it with my lil sis and my brother & his fam and my mum. While there i had heaps of cuddles of the new babe... M ... he is so cute, i also got lots of squishy hugs from his little brother lumpy - isn't he just adorable & oh so photogenic - i got lots of fun pics of him too - he loves water and getting his pic taken - wonder how long that will last for you lil sis? - We got to bring home with us the big brother of those two - sketti, he has been having a ball with my two peeps, swimming and playing soccer and cricket & the Wii... he gets to stay and play for the whole week so i hope his brothers are missing him - i think he misses them.

My lil sis and her newest addition - number 3 - i am still waiting on her to clarify his cutesy nickname - we told her to call him meatball - lol - as she already has sketti & lumpy.

Okay this is old matey - down at Grandma & Poppys place yesterday - he was running out to go play soccer - check out the new shirt - "rules are for fools" -- guess he is the fool...but a cute one.

So not a lot of scrapping from me - and i haven't posted off what i had intended to - time has surely flown. I have fixed my sewing machine program and have sewn the wings that i was rambling on about - love them - will create something with them so that you can see how they can be used....then i have to cost them out to see what i can sell them for. I have sewn them on to some pearlized organza with shiny rayon thread. Some colors were variegated and the others weren't. One set of the wings were a font - pea stacy doodles i think - it converted nicely in the program and stitched out well.

this set are my fave - they are quite large and would suit a fabric doll or large mixed media project.

This afternooon I had a great chat to my friend Beck - who i have missed terribly... and have been a naughty girl as i still have not posted off my mini album in her swap... i will be working on her album tommorow while the peeps go swimming - and then i can bundle it all off to post to Jo -- bet you will be glad to get these babies moving along - they look awesome......... i will update with journal pics as soon as i have finished.

I also had a bit of a chinwag to Tanyah from http://www.scrapncraftwitht.com.au/ and she was kind enough to let me know that there are only a couple of days left of her Mega sale if you are interested in anything crafty. Also Michelle Jamieson's kit with a new example is up on her blog - and i had a fun chat about what i will be creating for my turn in February... can't wait. Also thank you Tanyah for the blog thingy on your blog - i am a shocker for those things so thank you for choosing me.

The Challenge 12 group has taken its final photograph for 2008 - its a self portrait. I just wanted to thank Donna for including me in with this fun group of funky women - i had a heap of fun - it was great to to see each persons take on the fantastic themes each week. Thanks Don for the ride - i had a blast - your the best.

no ordinary sunday

yep it hasn't been an ordinary one for us here... we got to relax.... although i was outta my pj's by 10.30am, which was a bit scary... and down to the shops to look at new phones - could not decide - i can get myself a big flash fandangle one - or i can go the cheapy and save the dollars to go towards a new video camera or a graphics tablet...mmmmmm...let me think.... i know the bells and whistle phone is sounding appealing - but truly i don't think so......

My DH has sick - so sick that he has not said two words about the scrap mess adourning our table - you see the craft room is so full and a huge mess that i dragged stuff out to scrap with friends last week, and i still have not put it back in the room... hence i have done one journal which is ready to send on its way for the next person - Scrappydi's album is winging its way to you my dear Kebab - its leaving the post office hear on Monday... and i currently am working on Scrappergirl's CJ - mighty fine journal too --- love the entries in it so far - then i will be setting my sights on Beck's little beauty - you girls have given me a few fun titles to play with - so hopefully by Tuesday arvo i will have both these babies ready to send off to Jo - as well as my own - its been on my desk for months - just haven't got round to wrapping it and sending it.

On Friday my extremely ill husband arrived home early - i decided to sneak away down the 'Point' to get some photos of the children at the lighthouse - miss chicken decided that she wanted some but not old matey - hence i was not happy and the whole shoot went AWOL cause the little tyke made me cranky. Welllll my DH suprised me with not one but two gorgeous bunches of roses when i came home - they are just starting to open up into full bloom today - got a pic to prove it too .

Old matey grew his hair long last xmas - found the tags on the right off some new clothes i bought him last monday - thought they suited just fine with this picture.

This little fellow was sitting holding two DS's - he is a computer geek - loves them - he is addicted - so he looks like he has to choose - the pink or the blue one....poor boy.

Chalk Drawings - the little people snuck out the back with the bucket of chalk to colour in the tiles - and they coloured in heaps - it look fabulous.

Also this is my entry into a Journal that SandyB organised over at Scrapchat for Al... thanks Sandy for taking the pic for me - i forget to do that some times, and i dont' want to open all the packaging just for a pic.

and lastly old matey was yelling out to me this arvo after he had gone for a swim - "mum come ere and bring your camera!" - what for i ask as i approached the back door - 'bring your camera - i want a picture of this' - well he had been disturbing this poor grasshoppers peace - so we got a few pics and off he hopped... safe for another day.

So that's me for another weekend - i also got to sign up to face book --- my lil sister will be so proud, i did a tutorial on Windows and set up Speech Recognition on my computer - way cool - the peeps think i am really smart now - lol.... i fixed my computer program for my sewing machine - and have started making more wings - yippeeee, which i hope to sell eventually - once i work out the website creation thing oh and i did copious amounts of washing again as well as shovel sand for my DH as he decided that this weekend we would change the sand over in the pool pumps filter....

Next on my list is to wrap xmas presents, make a xmas plum pudding, make pelmets for my dining room, find curtains for my bedroom...i want some of those long,long, long ones that i can tie up - i have blinds already - i want the curtains to soften the look ....i am thinking that i will have to make what i want or possibly buy the curtains used on a canopy iykwim.... and my list goes on.....

school's out for summer....

and ain't it true.. so i can sort of get my self organised and start to really enjoy my little peeps, although if you had my day with them yesterday you would want school to be back in. I typedthe last of the P&C minutes last night - i only need to tidy up a few loose ends and the Segetary job is all good to be put to bed for the remainder of the year.

Yesterday the peeps played in the pool {the best investmentwe have ever made- i do reckon}, then we went to the doctors to drop off some stuff for DH as he has not been well, after this we popped in to a local scrap shop for approximately 3 minutes as the peeps decided that they were not going to behave for me - so we loaded ourselves back in the car for an {earful of good christmas cheer} - before heading home; {mummy very unhappy}- but alas mummy had a brainwave - lets go to officeworks and if you two behave you will not have to go to your rooms when you get home....ahhhhh bliss... and $200 later..... maybe i should have went home... oh well i got some great things.. i finally succumbed and bought myself an embossing label maker{dymo gun} among other things ....

So we woke this morning from a great sleep and decided that we would go on an adventure - mummy suggests a shopping adventure with lots of things to see; so we loaded ourselves into the car and headed on our way to a big fully airconned shopping centre - and bought heaps - loved the day -and so did the peeps....only because they got so many new clothes - DD 3 new shirts, 1 new skirt, 3 pairs shoes, water squirters, lollies, donuts and lunch; DS 6 new shirts, fave kid mag, water squirters, lollies, donuts, lunch; mummy well i made sure i was well taken care of - new scrap rulers, chidpboard alphas, a new fan, sandwich press; and dad - well poor dad has caught our flu bug and worked all day to come home and open the mail - what did he get - a visa bill that was astronomical... but hey that is life....he knows we love him and all he does for us...and we try to make him smile at least 5 times a day.... and a few hugs and kisses thrown in too.

things that have happened prior to the last couple of posts - the peeps had their swimming carnival - was a rainy but extrememly hot day - old matey came last - but had a great time - he is just happy if he finnishes - he is a good sport like that. Miss Chicken well she came third in most of her races- and she had a great time to.

On the last week of school miss chicken had her Medieval Day - yes i was nuts - i made her costume on the Sunday - the day for the event was monday - but i got it made - she was peeking - but not too much - she knows i won't let her down - and i have been lucky that she likes the clothes i have sewn her... which has got me thinking the past couple of days i might dabble in a bit of sewing on the side and start myself an etsy shop - just of childrens clothing - simple funky items - i will be sure to try them out on her before going for the sell.

Miss chicken in her Medieval Dress - yep i made this baby -- now she wants to wear it all the time.

On the scrapping front = not a lot happening - been buying bits and pieces like a new heat gun etc... I finished ScrappyDi's swap album for a swap on SM just gotta post this baby off.... I have received two beautiful journals from Bec's swap - both beck's and sarah's - so i want to get them done before the end of the week and then post them off too as well as my own which has been sitting on my desk for months - sorry beck and girls - i truly have been so slack - no excuses, just busy thats all, but no excuses.

I hope to get the craft room tidied up by the end of the week too --- oh my gosh!!! - what a mess... but like i said - i have been busy - so i get in and do what i have to and get out - its the aftermath thats the killer.

This week i want to work on my design for Scrap 'n' with T and start throwin together a few ideas i have for mini albums - been in that headspace and its killing me not getting it done actually.

well............the lovely miss tanya payne from Scrap'N'Craft with T has asked me to be a part of her DT - Tanya is a lovely person and a wonderful scrapper herself - so i am mighty chuffed to be asked - I will joining in the fun over at her site with two other fabulous and extremely talented scrapper friends Michelle Jamieson and Leanne Stamatellos. We will be putting together some awesome kits for purchase and creating some great projects for people to create for their own scrappy collections.

Michelle has already put up a kit at Scrap'N'Craft with T and there are instructions too for those who want the run down on "how do I". I guarantee we are gonna have heaps of fun together and hope that you will be able to join in the fun with us also. Thanks Tanya and i look forward to having heaps of fun with you all real soon.

Alrighty - this is just a quick one cause i have gotten myself sick for some unknown reason - my head feels like it wants to explode and my nose is running like a tap - the antihistamine is kicking in and my eyelids are falling fast - so i hope you all get yourselves over to the digichallenge site and vote as we only have a few weeks left for our 52week challenge - I have had a blast so far and have some awesome pics that i probably would not have ever have taken - its been great to think outside the box with some of the themes that donna and the girls have come up with.... so that's that --- get yourselves over there to vote today.

So here are the 30 pages i created while away at Warana. I had so much fun scrapping my heart out up there - and glad to get these few pics done - i have so much scrap gear that i really have to concentrate on scrapping my memories quick as i am desperate to purchase more new stuff - but keep reminding myself to use up stocks that i have - and that is a lot...

We have had a big day today - the peeps have been at gymnastics, then we shopped for more star wars lego, as old matey got himself some birthday money that was burning a whole in his pocket.

DH has been digging holes and putting in pipe in the back yard in anticipation for our water tank arriving next week. I started hedging the gardenias then a beautiful downpour appeared out of the heavens - hence i have cleaned up and am sitting here adding info to the blog - after this i am off to the craft room to create a couple of entries in three journals that i have - gotta play catch up - otherwise i will have a lot of bad karma happening.

yep i should ask myself the same thing not be sticking it in a title.... so to answer my own title here goes.... been busy.

I was so lucky to go away to the ScrapChat retreat at Warana in mid November - had an absolute blast - Gypsyangel aka Karen does a fantastic job of organising a nice relaxing time away - great location, and very affordable. I travelled up the coast with Sylvia and Lisa and had a blast - we got stuck in Gateway bridge traffic {a first for me} very scary - probably cause i don't like bridges especially the ones with water under them.. they make me anxious. When we got up there i think it took me about 15 minutes and i had already started my first layout --- i got 30 layouts done while i was away - thats right folks - 30 - i am so proud of myself - i set my target in my head and made it happen. I had a great time up there with so many new faces that joined in on our Scrap fun - and the regular beauties who know how to party. Thanks girls for all the fun. The trip home with the girls was awesome too - we got caught in that massive storm - well it was actually an accident and then the storm and then another accident - so our 1.5hour trip home ended up being more like 3 - what joy - at least i had some great company.

So i bet you are thinking i would be sharing some of those layouts huh - well i will - but not just yet - i just sent them off to see if they are any good for publishing... so fingers crossed and maybe they will go up tommorow.

ON the home front - my lil sis had her little {big} baby - -another beautiful little nephew for me - and all natural with no pain killers - what was she thinking - he weighed 9lb 4oz - she is one super strong focussed mumma.

Next we have a month of fabulous birthdays - i have had a niece turning another year older, a friend - hey witchy , glad you had a good one, the new babe being born and old matey celebrating another birthday - he had the bestest birthday too - he got to have his fave cheescake {which mummy makes} - he got his fave lego {starwars} and he got shooty type toys in the way of {spiderman stuff} - so he was one very lucky and happy little boy.

Been a bit busy with school volunteer stuff - we have an awesome school - its all starting to wind down now - which is nice cause i can find a little more time for mwah hopefully - i kinda want to get stuck into my scrapping more - got an idea - and busting at the seams to set it all up and have a play --plus the craft room needs an overhaul.

Today - well today was the peeps' swimming carnival - miss chickens third one - and she got a lot of third places' and old matey's first - he only did one race - and then asked if he could go home - i am thinking its not really his thing maybe - lol. Never mind.... he can learn to love it.

lots of stuff but not really anything... hope that can make some sense...nope... well you are no better off than me i guess - cause i am still trying to work out why this year has gone by so quick.

Been busy with working, P&C stuff, gymnastics and life in general; I guess that is why they call this the silly season... i am going crossed eyed right now...lol.

We took a family holiday a few weeks ago down to Byron Bay - when we lived down that way we really never holidayed there - it was great to just kick back and relax for a week - goodness knows it was so hectic for all of us before we left - so some time out is just perfect - especially the calming effect of the Byron seabreeze. I didn't take much craft at all - was too rushed to pack it - but i found an arts supply store ...lol... check out my little corner of the cabin... or coffee table i should have said - i dont' think i have ever scrapped in such a small confined space. While down there we stayed with Grandma and Poppy for a night - the peeps had a ball.

I am looking forward to escaping up the coast with the girls of ScrapChat this weekend, Karen aka Gypsyangel always plans a fabulous retreat away - no fuss, no pressure and pure bliss, can't wait to catch up with some great friends and make some new ones...best get myself packing tommorow, i am gonna run outta time sooner than i think.

i am so looking forward to tomorrow - my dh has not booked golf really early -- so that means i get to sleep in --yippeeeeeee... i love sleeping in - i have had to be the sport parent driver for a few Saturdays lately and it does not work at all for me - although last week i think i must have spent at least $200 after i dropped the peeps off at gym....

Life gets so hectic around this time of year - in every business - especially the schools... We just had our variety concert at the school, and it was so fantastic - the little people so rocked it - i am exhausted and just as it was about to start we had a call from the teacher on school camp where miss chicken was and she was ill - so after old matey performed his two things - he had the last act - we loaded ourselves into the car for a trip down the coast - what fun - well miss chicken was quite sick - but now at home she sounds a lot better although she still has a few symptoms.

I have a heap coming up with planning the school disco - they are going to have a good old monster mash - & its gonna be the bomb! I think i have to really be nuts as to do this - but the little people are gonna have so much fun - it will be crazy kinda fun.

Well there ya go i have neglected my blog... its a shame that life is so busy ....but its always good so there is a good answer for any questions that will come of that i guess....

I have been in a swap on the Stamp Shak with some beautiful people - it was a swap for Christmas cards .. so awesome ... bet you all want to see what they look lile huh -- well you will have to wait as i have been soooooo busy i have not had a chance to take pics..... but they are a coming ... there will be a craft overload soon. i also had a play at the Cyber crop over there and the challenges are fun as ....

I have also taken on a challenge on the SM site - its called challenge 20 - although i said i would do 30 layouts instead ... what was i thinking - but its been good - i have reached half way, or there abouts, just no pics still.. gosh this must be a boring blog for you all....

The volunteer life is pretty full on - but its good -- i guess that's why i am not taking enough pics at the moment... although i have squeezed in the digichallenge blog pics... thank goodness... i really enjoy having a play over their with the girls - and donski is so good at giving us the inspiration . Hopefully by friday i will have something up here to back up what i have just typed ...lol... but unti then here is a few pics - -

I attended the GNI crop organised by gypsyangel over at ScrapChat - and it was awesome - she really outdoes herself everytime - the community is so lucky to have such a lovely person out there who has such a great interest in such special causes - thank you gypsy for a fabbo night - both miss chicken and myself totally enjoyed ourselvea - she even got some layouts done herself.

and lastly my baby girl went on her school camp this week - i know she is so excited but i am not coping at all -- why is it that they grow up??? --- as she was going she kept saying i miss you mum , i love you mum, she just kept watching me & waiting for me to cry - she is so so strong and its so so hard to let this little cherub go ... i am so scared for what is out there and awaits her... but i know that she will have a fun time... i miss her constant conversation.... hang on ... old matey is gettin a word in now ... i bet he has a different take on that ....lol..

not sure on the spelling, thinking that's how you spell exhilarating - oh well that will do me for now.... I just finished doing my fortune cards and am so happy ... things had been not so happy in this home with family passing and life just not seeming to slow down... well i am happy and that's because somewhere in the rush that is life i have found some balance for me...

I have heaps of volunteer stuff that i have to tackle over the next couple of days... but good things come to those who wait - that's my mantra today....

I decided to take a fly by the seat of your pants trip up to my lil' sis's house yesterday after the peeps had gym - you see my baby sis just turned 28--- so congrats to you my darling baby... i do hope we lightened your heart with our presence and you enjoyed our company - i love you and can't wait for your new little bundle to join our family...

Last Thursday i took part in the first SM cybercrop - the challenges were awesome - and i had fun in creating some fabulous layouts - well i think they are awesome... here is what i created:

I also took part in the free paper challenge but unfortunately my entry was withdrawn - so here is the entry - its my beautiful DD - i love how i have given her wings - i so love CS3... its an awesome program.

On Friday night i took part in the Stamp Shak cybercrop - another great chance to enhance the mojo rush that has been bottled within me for weeks...If you are looking for a great range of challenges you should take yourself over there for a bit of fun every now and again - chelle is a great host and there are some fabulous scrappers to boot - these are my entries for the three challenges - thanks girls i had a blast.

this next layout was for the September Challenge over at The Stamp Shak - i have had these photos since my dh painted our house - so glad the challenge made me actually put them to good use otherwise they could be still on my hard drive...

My beautiful children have enjoyed their holidays so far and i have more fun up my sleeve for them later this week....

I am looking forward to going to the Girls night in crop that Gypsyangel from scrapchat has organised - it is geared up to be a fabulous night for all and it will raise much needed funds to help with women's cancers.

I owe my beautiful and very talented friend donna an apology for not getting my digi pic up last week - i just needed to scrap - i truly did not even touch my camera except to photo layouts to upload to cyber challenges - sorry my love -- i promise to be extra good this week... and to scrapwitch - thank you for letting me talk your ear off tonight - i hope your little darling is okay and i will hear from you in a couple of days... take care.

....to somewhere.....

Well how long has it been - too long - finally i have found this little snippet in time to sit at the computer to blog. So much has been going on lately, I have two of the eldest people in our family leave us - i hope they are watching over us all and smiling. I have been working - that has been great, although my legs are feeling their age..which reminds me i had a birthday in there somewhere too.. gotta love another year passing us by. My darling husband spoilt me rotten - i know own a Wii - yippeee -- but my arm is sore from tennis and the bowling games. There was an engagement party and more birthday parties. I have had meetings and minutes and newsletters etc...to type up - so there really was no time for much at all except livin' in the moment.

Ahhh scrapping you say --- well i taught at a birthday party for 4 girls - we made little handbags... they were way cute - i have not actually done any scrapping for myself until yesterday - its been a while, i haven't really taken many photos either, but hopefully i am on the road to a brand new spring morning where i can change all that.

The peeps are doing well, more gymnastics, the have performed at the spring festival in displays that ran the whole weekend and they were so exhausted but so excited at the same time to get to show off what they could do. They have also been competing again over the holidays - old matey had one saturday and enjoyed himself - no winning - but he will find his way - as long as he has a smile and has a go its all good. Miss chicken is yet to compete...

here i am ....

what a full on week, not that i am complaining ... but its been full on.

My Great Aunt Lily was put to rest on Monday... it was really hard to read the Eulogy... but i got it done... i don't think it has sunk in yet ... i am yet to have my good solid cry to get it all out. My G-uncle Walter did not make it to his sisters funeral as he wasn't feeling the best.. and then on Friday morning the phonecall i guess i knew was coming but wish didn't .. he passed away...I am so lucky that both of these beautiful people have been a part of my life and i have been blessed to have learnt many things that have made me, me from them... I love you both.

I think its harder for me to write my feelings at the moment because there has been so much going on and i think i am choosing not to deal with it here and now... but i know that everything will slow down and hit me like a lead balloon sooner or later.

I have done a tiny bit of scrapping... a bit therapeutic if you will... well... i had an email from the lovely chelle from The Stamp Shak, reminding me of their August Cybercrop... and i am so glad that i had the reminder because it was just what i needed.. so i completed two of the challenges as i ran out of time,...here they are hope you like....oh and i just checked the site online... i won the challenge for my layout... how cool... so stoked.. thanks everyone for the votes... i get so excited when my kids compete at the gymnastics... its like they are really at the olympics... and thanks to Chelle the lovely moderator at The Stamp Shak for being a great Cyber hostess... its a great site and if you get the chance you should pop in to say hello in the forum.

I have been getting some awesome work opportunities of late... so it has been hectic here in the peeps household, i so envy all working mums... it truly does my head in... i am now working, volunteering, being a mum {and all that,that entails},trying to keep up with my craft, trying to organise my house and finish decorating{which sadly has taken a back burner}... so its been hectic... i am thinking that something will give shortly and i really am thinking it will not be the craft...the even balance is not an easy one to master by any means so any hints on how to get the balance will be much appreciated from all my reading friends.

I received an email from Scrapbooking Memories on Friday... I was so happy... after my early morning sad call... i came home to a great email... a BTP acceptance --- so cool!!! mind you i am unsure exactly for what BTP it was for .. but i am happy cause it must have been good to be accepted to go to print.

I guess thats it from me.. i have a few jobs that i said that i would do ... i can't help myself with the volunteering stuff.... it gives me a bit more purpose i guess... so i will have to say goodbye to cyberspace for another week maybe .... and be off to do some desktop publishing work... duty calls....lol...

oh yes... a smile... it evokes a wonderful feeling... why am i smiling... its sunday - i have successfully stayed in pyjamas till now & the things in the too hard basked weren't really that hard, i just needed to take the time to read and collate... feeling good... i've gota meeting now... on a sunday no less... but i will be back to update this entry....things are looking good!

I'M BACK......

So scrap wise nothing much is happening in this camp - i think i opened the door to the scrap room today ... i had a few friends over on monday to scrap{cardmake} as there was not a lot of scrapping going on... lots of great chit chat .... food and drink... no scrapping.... i did make a couple of cards though... since then all has been put away in the craftroom and the door has been closed.

I worked at school last week... had a blast... bloody exhausted but... but thouroughly worth it. Old matey performed in a skit on parade... was too cute.... and miss chicken is having heaps of fun at gymnastics... old matey needs a bit of a prod to get him there on time at the moment, although he had fun being the leader for warm up this past week...he was pretty excited about it also.

I got up to date with a few things via my role in the P&C, things which have been eating away at me in my mind - thank goodness.... and hopefully a few more things will get ticked off that list this week as well. I have two meetings this week and a newsletter to put out via the volunteer stuff i do... sounds like fun hey! -- don't you just want to help out too.....

my little sis came for a visit this weekend... although i fell asleep at a bbq... not good as i was so exhausted... but i am all rested up again... although i should get myself off to bed... well.... her little fellow is growing so fast and is so funny - he has a real sense of humour... and little sis is growing at an amazing rate with babe number three.

I went and visited my Uncle Walter in hospital on wednesday... he is doing well although he is not real keen on the medicine stuff he has to take, and my aunt is such a strong character... love to you both ...

My class was cancelled over at Stamp Antics again this week, seems only one beautiful person wanted to come play with me and make a paper bag album.... nevermind... hopefully i will get to run the classes again next month... things have been tight for everyone lately...

would love to have pics to upload but my poor camera is having a hiatus with me working more and having no time for play.... i had so many loads of washing over the past two days.... maybe i should have dusted off the cobwebs of the 400D and took photos of the laundry piled up high on my bed.... maybe next week.

A lovely friend Linda is off on her holiday of a lifetime ...tonight she is in the air travelling to her first stop of Singapore before jetsetting to more fantastic destinations... take care linda and enjoy the journey that you have just embarked on ...you have worked so hard its now time for you to take a bit of "me time"....let yourself go and enjoy every moment.

i had a full on weekend... little peeps went to gymnastics training saturday, i baked sausage rolls for my friend gilly's 40th birthday suprise party, we had a fabbo time, and i think she had a blast too.

slept in sunday that was today when i started typing up my entry...... i love my family - they are the best, i woke up around 10ish i think and my beautiful angels greeted me with a kiss, and can i help you with something mum, i am truly blessed.

Alas it was not a pyjama sunday like i had envisioned - I got a start on the washing as soon as i jumped out of bed, there were so many loads that i did...and there are still around 4 loads to go, i swear the little people are doing this to show me i can't cope with holding down the fort, scrapping, volunteering, and working an honest weeks work. Well just when they think they have won, i am gonna fit in a scrap day for most of Monday... yep its their pupil free day, and i am gonna scrap, they will just have to find something interesting to do to entertain themselves, and that will not include trashing the house with toys or muddy feet. I have invited a few friends over for my monday scrap, so we should all have a fun day, as long as i get to create i will be happy..

DH and i talked about the canvas/photo feature i want to create on our new red feature wall , i will have to add pics of the newly painted walls soon... keep forgeting to update, so i will be trying to organise the canvasses to be completed before 2010. There is no point in rushing a good thing i reckon.

Well what a huge couple of weeks i have had ... i have been working.... so loving every moment... so exhilirating... its great....

The peeps have been so busy with their life also.... and DH has been full on with heaps at work so all in all it has been one extremely busy household... loving it of course!

Unfortunately my first class was cancelled as there were not enough beautiful people booked in.... but that is cool... it was just meant to be. I have another class to teach over at Stamp Antics on the 16th i think ... a paper bag album ... should be fabulous... and so looking forward to it too.

on other news... i have been working up a storm....i did get to load up my pic for the Gallery 12 this week... so if you get an opportunity you should go vote ... the girls involved have been taking some awesome shots.

I had some news this arov... not pleasant at all...so distressing... my Great Aunt passed away... she was such a beautiful spirit... a true and honest woman... totally beautiful ... when things like this happen i tend to reflect ... i am not coping with this at all... it makes me cry so bad everytime i think about it...............I remember the times as a child my father,who has also gone now , used to bundle the 5 of us children up in the car to go visit my Great Aunt Lily, i was so fascinated at all that she had .... she was the first person that i ever new that had her own bloody sewing room... i truly believe that i had been blessed with the dressmaking skills that she had... even if only by one bristle.... i cannot tell you how devastated i am this afternoon.

I so wish i had made more of an effort to visit more often ....... its a shame that an event like this has come about for me to think this way again.

I have been so blessed to have had this remarkable woman in my life... she had one true love.... and remained faithful to him... she had so many stories to tell...and told them with such detail and pride.... she remembered everyones birthdays... even if it was in a book ... she is remarkable ... i have the memories of a beautiful Aunt who could show and tell me things that i was so encapsulated in her every word that i became a part of her story....

Aunt Lily i will miss you and my heart aches........you are and will always be a very significant person who i believe passed down a gift to me .... i love you..................

today did not get any better from there on... i phoned one of my Aunts to ask on the status of things and she was at the hospital with my Great Uncle....so there was still more news to come .. i was just unaware of it.......my Great Uncle Walter is not well either and i have been told he has only a few weeks....bugger me..... why?

My Aunt Lily was the oldest in the family... she was about to celebrate her 91st birthday in a week and a half, well her brother... my Uncle , who is a survivor , has beaten cancer once, and as i found out a few weeks back has had a couple of strokes recently... but hasn't long to live as his cancer has come back and it is in his liver, tonight he is in hospital, and has had to deal with the news of his sister having passed ..... he hopes to be well enough to be discharged from hospital and to attend his sisters funeral in a week or so... i do hope that his wishes are granted ... he has also lived an extraordinary life....

I have been so blessed to be a part of and learn from two of the most knowlegable people , people who have shown me love and compassion and showed me that i matter in this world in which i live.... thank you ... i love you both.

Okes , i wish i had more to blog about ... but i am exhausted from my afternoon, but i know that if i did not get it out .... i would not be able to sleep tonight and its alreacy late and i feel like crap... i want ot cry again... i need a big cuddle... i don't cope to well with death... it sucks... surely with all the money in curing things and research they would have worked out how to prolong death.... seriously... i am not coping with this at all....

i had some great news.. i received news that i had 'won' another grant for the gymnasium yesterday... so everyone is happy... thats fab!

i have to go ... have to sleep ... i have a big day tommorow....

what have you been up to....

alrighty what a big few weeks...

we had our new furniture arrive late this afternoon... DH has finished painting three of the five walls... i am so hanging to see the red wall but... i swear he is leaving that one till last cause he knows i want to see it so bad.... and the purple wall doesn't look like that in the pic its way more deeper... a really regal dark plum. So we chose four different colours for our family/kitchen/entertainment room... a creamy white, a dark plum, a red, a chocolate.... and so far they all look great.

Over the past couple of weeks we have visited family at my Uncles birthday BBQ - had an absolute awesome time... the kids had a great time too... its great how they try to work out who is related to who.

I have finished two great little albums for teaching over at Stamp Antics.. both will be Saturday classes... I have a couple more ideas in the works also... another mini album and a few cards.. just nutting out the finer details still.

The peeps and I sat and created a few fun things last week... magic wallets... who'd have thunk they would be so much fun.... and a bit of a nightmare for the mum to explain to little people....I had four littlies and they were all very good students.

still havent' photo'd the nasal piercing witchy... but i will eventually. I am going to the Warana retreat again my lovely... but am still keen for a Coffs adventure also the dates might clash so I will have to contact you soon in regards to the date.

I entered a couple of layouts into the Stamp Shak Cyber crop that was run over this weekend ... love the papers i used... although can't recall the names ... only finished them tonight ... been so busy ... was lucky that i had got them done... i so miss my scrapping...i need to get myself better focussed so i can scrap more.

Should really get to bed, but am watching tv... gotta be up early ... got a boogey nose ... whats with that.

I love how non- grammatically correct i am .. i bet you would not have guessed i was a virgo huh?

okes so what is new.... i forgot to let you all know that i finally took the plunge and got the old nasal piercing done.... yep it hurt but only as bad as the earlobe... once its done its over with...although........ if you bump it out at 4am in the morning in your sleep it hurts way worse... but even better..... if you try to get the sucker back in your nose... OUCH!!!!... i think it was the 4am thing that hurt the worst.

The peeps are enjoying their 3rd term of school... and 3rd term of gym - i am smiling .... so happy ... it so relieves the pressure off me as a parent when all that important stuff flows nicely in the home.

Dh and i are looking at repainting. I have been searching around for a buffet and a display cabinet... haven't really been able to find any that i can say i would call my own so we are looking at having them made outta tassie oak.... so a dilemma approaches.... we need to repaint the family room and kitchen/dining areas to suit as we have timber floor that has aged a noice golden yellow.... and the walls of those areas are a beautiful rich yellow.... so we have decided to add a few bold new feature walls... and paint the rest antique white... I must say i can't wait for it all to be done ... sooooo excited.....my husband is the best!

Been busy with volunteering at the school - loving it .... it is very rewarding... got a few things off the list that i promised people i would do ... so that is a good feeling.

Finally went and visited Jenny at Stamp Antics... and have booked myself in to teach 3 classes.... i have to finish one of them, which will be a handbag paper bag album... hopefully this will be a hit.... love these albums and they are not what you normally would expect to do for a paper bag album. One of the other classes will be a file album to store cards that you pre-make ... kinda nifty and i got the idea from the tallyscrapper site ... way awesome idea......

Went to a family Christening over the past weekend - DH's cousin's daughter... way cute and and awesome day.

I have a bit of planning to do this weekend - as a friend has asked if i would like to do a scrap-birthday party for her daughter... am so excited and scared at the same time as i don't want the little people to be bored with what is on offer for them to make ... so thinking cap is on to create a bit of genius i hope.

gosh i ramble on.........

so this is me saying bye... have a fabulous weekend... even though i seem busy ... goodness knows why... i am so loving life... and cant' wait to get into the craft room over the weekend.

oh yeah forget some awesome news....... had a few things displayed over at the bumblebeecrafts warehouse which i have got back this weekend .. .forgot how much i loved what i created even though its not the colors i would have chosen... and i was asked if i would like to create an album with the Kaiser craft planner a few months back , which has since been published in the Scrapbooking Memories mag - Vol10 Iss3... so thats it from me----- hope you are all geared up for a fabbo weekend!

gosh i bet you read that on a million blogs... just thought i would use it again this month for you all. I have been busy - although i have no idea what i have been busy with ...

Not sure if it was the last two weeks of the school term that writ me off for the month or what it was ... but gee it went fast - i guess thats a good thing cause that means life is great!!!

So the news ... i got published in Scrapbooking Memories magazine... i participated in the Kaiser Challenge... and i am pretty chuffed about the whole thing too... - very modest though - i only bought one magazine...lol

i have a CJ that i should be working on to send off in the mail... been a bit sidetracked with that... and i have some altered playing cards to go in the mail too... but just forgot to get the address to send to- whoops for me...

The peeps have been keeping well.... attitude with age is testing me as a parent... i guess we never stop growing as we get older....or learning either. The peeps did well and had a great time at their respective Gymnastics events over the holiday period. Everyone is back at School today and having fun by the sounds of things - so glad to here Miss Chicken came home and said how cool her teacher is ... i can't tell you how happy i am after her last two terms and the drama we have been having in our house with how she has been handling it all ... only way is up with the smiles and laughter from now on - i tell ya!

The peeps got to hang out with their Grandparents over the break - they got to play a bit of lawn bowls while we visited them and then they got to go to the Museum and Science Centre - they had a blast.

i have booked myself in for another Scrap retreat with the loverly gypsyangel and friends from her site... so cannot wait to get away again and scrap up a storm.

I have promised myself to take my hiney over to Stamp Antics tommorow and visit Jenny - i have had a project to teach for over a month on my desk but have been so busy with other issues that have cropped up that i have not been able to get over to see her- so tommorow is the day!

We went to a family Christening over the weekend and had a great time... its so great to catch up with family - everyone looked great and we all had a great time.... the babe was absolutely adorable.. as you would imagine...

Looking forward to the second half of the year.. hopefully big things are coming my way and lots of fun in the process... be back soon to upload hopefully - i have to get myself to bed and to sleep...

well it must be a record or something....

Okes whats new -- i have my new computer - only thing is i have to upload all my address book and it is taking me longer than i had hoped for because i am going from XP to Vista and i have no idea what i am doing - think i may be going to the library tommorow to get Vista for dummies.

Both my beautiful little peeps competed at their respective Regional Gymnastics comps and did mighty fine - Old Matey didn't have a win but did well and enjoyed his day, Miss Chicken rocked the house -- and was so so excited with her 1st place on her fave apparatus - the beam.... MY PEEPS SO ROCK! - i have to go to bed and still have not tweaked my pics - so i will have to upload these maybe tommorow.

What else has been happening - well my mum seems to be sorting her life out - and it is going to be one of those uphill financial battles - but with a little help from her much adoring children{thought i would upsell myself there} - she will be cool - fingers are all crossed -- she is so lucky to have my baby sister up there helping her out each and everyday - i love you T - you are doing a fab job at taking this onboard and being pregnant too as well as taking instructions from your big sis and big bro.

My DH and I have also become the proud owners of a new Billiards/pool table as of friday afternoon - and who would have know that Old matey is a bit of a pool shark.... DH is still loving his new job... busy busy ... but coming home with a smile and relishing all the new things that he is learning too.

I have been doing a spot of teacher aide work - love it! - never thought i would have a need to work or that i would even crave to want to ... but the work bug has kicked in ---only a small problem with that is that i am so behind in organising stuff to send to Jenny for scrapbooking classes....{sorry Jennny} - I am so used to having all the time in the world but with having to organise myself better it is hard - my black space between my ears gets all confused and i am flat out sorting and prioritising my daily list so that it makes any sense.... i know all you working mummas out there are thinking WELCOME TO MY WORLD - but truly i envy you all....but can someone tell me the secret cause i spent 5 hours washing and ironing on saturday --- drove me insane... and i love ironing - its just that i am sure my kids are using everything in their draws at the moment.

time sure flies when you are having fun. I have found myself spinning and turning with so much on that i am gettting all muddled up in my head.... hence not a lot of scrapping going on at the moment - heaps of ideas up in the black space --- but not alot is being made from it.

i have received two of my Circle Journals home - and they look fabulous - i am so happy with all of my wonderful friends who have added their pages they have really done a beautiful job that i will cherish forever. The journal below is the first that i received back that i titled "stealing 30 seconds" - i will upload the other tommorow as i have heaps to upload as i am playing catchup for the past two weeks.

Here are a few of the layouts minus two from the scrapchat retreat away that i had finished... there were a lot - i totally had a funtastic time and scrapped myself silly in the process. Oh there are a couple of extra ones that i completed to go towards my total of 30 layouts for the scrapboxx challenge that i took up too... so i am getting closer to my 30 layouts ... only a couple more to go - i really should finnish the 5 almost done ones on my desk i guess.

I will try to blog again tommorow as i have more pics and stuff to ramble on about.... too much to put up here tonight as it will probably run over three pages....

i have so much to chat about - babble on about actually - but i just hit my knee and it feels like that funny bone feeling... and no i am not laughing...i am a sook... it hurt!

so this week has flown by... i loved my life - i love my life while working too... forgot what i had been missing acutually - but dont' get any funny ideas - time is important - and i am having a real struggle with it to try and get the balance. You see time was mine - with an exception of a few hours - so i could do as i wanted and when i wanted within in reason... well..not anymore now that i am getting calls in to work - i love working its great... finding a bit of me again... but i miss my craft room so much... and my late night chatting... it just doesn't exist either.

my mum is having a few hassles over the past few weeks and my brother and sister and i have been trying to help her with it all.... its very time consuming - i think it hurts my brain the most and my patience cause its an unknown thing ... and i may be a bit of a control freak... who'd have known....thank goodness its not medical... only financial ... although i think that can be more detrimental to your health.

no scrapping from me this week unfortunately but i have earmarked saturday night for me ... so we will see what that will produce... although it will be nice to snuggle on the couch with a good movie with my DH as we haven't had much time to chat this week.

my DS is doing so well at his double base - his music teachers spoke with me today and made me so proud of him... he is such a beautiful little person... and i can't wait for him to perform in a concert that is planned soon....

and for a bit more blabbering on nothing this fellow just turned one in the last week also.... i made him for Miss chickens birthday last year... note to self - only got a few more months to old mateys birthday and should finnish the brown bear half made for him too...

enjoy the weekend everyone... if i get a chance i might just photograph all the layouts i have done and upload... bit of a task tho..

after the big getaway with the scrapchat girls and then coming home this is still what my scrap room looks like... no i am not ashamed .... i am an artiste....lol

yep .. DH had a birthday and then MIL had a birthday and nephew had a birthday and then DD had a birthday and inbetween all of that and just before , a whole lot of special friends celebrated their birthdays too.... so to all you may day babies... i hope you all had a fabbo day. as for the gym comps well my miss chicken she got a third place on beam at one of the big meets.... and she also had a good time with the inhouse comp as well with winning a swag of medals and getting overall for her level... go girlfriend! As for old matey well he did so well to stay focussed and came first on one apparatus and second/runner up for the rest... go dude!

unfortunately i am sick .... i slept most of yesterday after dropping the peeps off at school, but am feeling a bit better today. I had a fabulous weekend away at the scrapchat retreat, met heaps of new faces and mingled and behaved badly with old acquaintances... what a hoot! Thanks goes to Karen {aka gypsyangel} for the most fabulously organised retreat - you did the most awesome job of having everytyhing organised... except next time you will have to scrap with me.
going to keep this one short until i feel better cause i am on my way to bed. It's DH birthday and i made two cheesecakes today as the peeps don't like baked American cheesecake, so i made a mini toblerone for them.

did a few layouts while i was away but have not taken any pictures... will do that soon and upload .... when i am feeling better... got a big week for the rest of it.... but i promise to come back and ellaborate on my post... just gotta go to sleep now.

alrighty in a nutshell this is what i have been up to :

yep the darned toothache - got in to see the dentist - was a late one - appointment for 8.30pm on a friday night which turned into me sitting in the chair at 11pm and walking outta there at 11.45pm with one filling and a script for painkillers and antibiotics...what to negotiate with .... take tooth out for $80 or get root canal and a crown $1500 - guess what i am booked in to do - at 10.30pm no less .... should be an interesting night don't ya think!

done a bit of scrapping - about 4 layouts... some are a bit dark - but hey they are done.

peeps have a heap of gym contests coming up - the month of may could be a right-off..... and miss chickens ankle is still not so good - and neither is the bank balance after our weekly doctor and physio visits.

i have had a few days of paid work doing teacher aide work - loved it - the prep teachers are so much fun and really great to work with. - oh and the cash is a great incentive too especially for this sunshiney girl who would love a new computer...

catching up on promises i made to miss chickens fabulous teacher last year and have only 3 more dvd movies of the students to go and hand out... yippee ... this has been weighing heavily on me as i have been putting it aside and dealing with the hear and now - so it will be great when it has all been finalised.

have meetings with P&C last week and this week and next week - just never seems to stop...thought i would get an off week this month - but nope its not gonna happen.

also had a gym meeting and have applied for a couple of grants that i have had responses to - to let me know that they have been received.

have a retreat to go to over the weekend - my first retreat and i am looking forward to some me time - goodness knows i need to get out and scrapbook - seriously scrapbook! I feel like i have been chasing my tail the past couple of weeks - just trying to get the balance and its kinda working but not... iykwim

oh and a confession - cause i have been so busy - my poor camera has hardly been in my hands for almost two weeks - its found itself a nice little place on a bench for the time being - hopefully after this weekend i can put that bad confession to bed....

have a great day tommorow -- my list is a mile long - and by jingo, by crikey i am gonna get through it... might even chuck in some me time and get my nose pierced - i feel like living on the edge at the moment.... lol

its funny how life sneaks up on you and says - hey where are your priorities.... well ... obviously mine caught up with me this week. I have been a naughty blogger, a bad mother, and totally irresponsible person who can't look after her own self.

The past few weeks i have been throwing myself in to get a heap of grants done, school P&C work , working with some teacher aide relief work {love this}, running children here there and everywhere & waking at stupid hours of the morning to see DH off to work {he is loving the new job} .. that i really have not looked after me - i have the toothache from hell. Because i have put it off and put it off I now have an abcess under my tooth which means repeated sessions in the dentists chair at over $1000 or one very painful visit of $80.00 to get the nasty little bugger pulled out. I am tending towards the $80.00 value pack - as it would be cheaper to get a plate with a new tooth and as its in the back of my mouth i am more inclined to feel at ease... except for the pain of it all.

As for the neglecting parent thing .. well miss chicken hurt her ankle a couple of saturdays ago and we have been icing it and strapping it for her ... but she is still limping - some of this is for the sympathy vote - and she is not helping herself by making silly decisions to run around on it and hurt it again... but i have finally gone and got it looked at and she did herself some ligament damage... so hopefully she is on the mend with a little help from the physio man.

Its my little big brothers birthday tommorow - he had a party last night - we had fireworks - they were great and i got some great shots.... but .... i had the camera set on monochrome - what a dufus i am.......

I haven't really done any scrapping of late... today is the first time in a long time i have had a chance to scrap - i did Scrappydi's smile album finally and now its ready to move on to thenext person... and tonight i have done two layouts - but no pics as i am still working on them.

The new PC that i crave for is looking good -- dh is almost convinced and we may just have the new one before the end of the month- i think i have to bat my eyelids more. The Retreat i am going away on is nearing and i am so looking forward to it too.... so excited to get to scrap all weekend...

I took a quote from one of my fave Bradley Trevor Grieve books - "the book for people who do too much" - this books absolutely cracks me up - i think its cause i need to really take some of the advice in it and slow down... but life is for living so here ya go....

well can you tell the excitement that i am showing in the title... my darling husband.... gosh i love him... well he plugged in my extra drive today that i thought had capput itself... it held all my photos and heaps of info that i need right back from 2004 - wellllll ... it works.. yeeeehaaaaa.... so i have been saving all that info to disk tonight... and i am still going... i tell ya make sure you back up your work with a hard copy somewhere... cause the whole cyber thing can and will fail eventually so be prepared... i consider myself extremely lucky for the second time and figure third time i might not be so lucky so i am in copy mode.

i think the original hard drive is on its last legs so hopefully it will hold out a little longer for me until i can convince my sweet caring { hope he is reading this} husband to purchase me a new puter.

so i have started the week off in great form... i did ironing this morning, i baked today {jam drops & choc chip cookies}, i did 9 loads of washing{ have no idea how i ended up with that much washing - could have something to do with the sheets i washed}, took the peeps to gym, did a little machine embroidery for kym{ hope you are happy with it} , and sat that SMILE journal of di's on the desk in the endeavour to do my page{ hasn't happened yet, but tommorow is a new day} - i think i even had time to converse with my darling husband on a range of topics... which is a good way to start the week { especially if we want a new computer - i think the jam drops might get me the puter though... gotta go for the stomach to please... it usually always works...lol}.

i joined in a challenge over at scrapboxx to do 30 layouts- using only the stash that i have and not purchasing anything else to go with.. i am really looking forward to this challenge as i will get to use up a heap of my stash... although i doubt it will make a dent but hey gotta start somewhere.
