I'm not MIA - just busy...

Well what a huge weekend - the peeps had gymnastics regionals over the weekend and old matey performed fabulously - but no medals - he was so good - focused and did not freak out - so proud of him...thanks to his coach he kept his cool and completed all of his apparatus'.

Miss chicken had a big day the next day also - she started badly with her nerves but pulled it together by the last apparatus which is her fave.... and i believe that her coach did a fabbo job to get her back on track so thanks coachC- after her fave apparatus I read the score incorrectly and thought she did not do so well {they were behind by two people in putting up the scores} - guess what during medal presentations they called out her name for a third place medal - i was like - someone made a mistake ---hello -- i was all shocked and choked up -- but so damn proud of her at the same time - love it when they bring tears to your eyes especially when the place was packed...

This week i found myself doing some more stuff for the school fair, making a jester costume for a friends child for medieval week, helping miss chicken make a special album for her coach - which we filled full of photos {sorry i was in such a rush i forgot to take piccies} and our school p&c newsletter -- which will be finished by tommorow arvo i hope. I have also filled the fridge with yummy vanilla slice and a freezer full of mini sausage rolls as i had a bit of a baking day with my SIL today. I was also priveleged enough to drive DH's car and take it for a service earlier in the week - lol - stresses me out driving it as he is very fussy and pedantic about his cars. I have done copious amounts of washing and ironing so i'm gunna have a bit of a home day tommorow i would be thinking just so i can pretend that i am getting ontop of all the stuff i should have done - not! All this and its only Wednesday ---- gee can't wait for thursday and friday.... wonder what i can cram into those two days ... too exciting.

On the scrapping front I have two circle journals here that i have to get my pages done for and i picked up another 4 from a member of the swap who is too swamped to get her pages completed so i will do my bit and pass them along to the person who was next on the list after her. Now earlier in the week i received a beautiful parcel in the mail from miss donna of a beautifully bound blank book - so i will have a bit of a play in it and i thinks i might just have to send it back to her so she can add some of her beautiful work to it... thanks donski - tis beautiful you are way to kind. My lil sis sent me an email with a couple of attachments of her work -- she has been scrapping up a storm and i have told her that she can't be a beginner scrapper anymore with layouts like the ones she showed me - oh and i told her to hurry and get a blog to share - they look great lil sis...

Tonights too exciting news is....drumroll.....old matey came up to me at gym all excited -- "mum i am going to states...i got 11th place" -- my reply - no you didn't (laughing at him) - his reply .."yes i did and coach says i am going to states" ...well low and behold my little old matey is going to state championships -- go u good thing ...i am the luckiest mum in the world cause these two little darlings are the bestest.....a big thank you to their fabbo coaches too for all the hard work they do in getting the peeps ready for these comps...oh and he didn't get 11th he was a little further down the list but he is going to states...as he said.

Well i am not sure if i will get my FK entry finished in time to send before the deadline - i still have one more layout to do and then express post it off to its destination... and its not looking good ...but who knows a little bit of inspiration might hit me tommorow - got a few new photos of the peeps so i might be able to put something together...nothing like the last minute is there.
